Jenny Lind/Rancho Calaveras 1/2007 - Status Report

A Tank Pump Station

 

Installed 2 new pumps for backups November, 2006

 

A to B, A to E

 

Purchased soft starts for pumps to reduce water hammer

Replaced 4-inch section of pipe with 8-inch

Decreased pressure by 5 - 7 psi.  Increased gpm by approximately 20

Worked with PG&E on electrical settings for re-closure

Purchased a new transfer switch for generator.  Added features for over current/voltage

Undercurrent/voltage and spikes

Installed sound proofing at station

 

Pipeline Upgrade

 

August 25, 2006

Hired Design Engineer Consultant to design Jenny Lind Road extension pipeline.  This will complete the loop.

Project designed for 2700 feet of line 12” diameter pipe.

Alternative bid for 7200 feet of line 12” diameter pipe.

Submitted CEQA document for categorical exemption.

Move Treosti and Baldwin Pressure Relief Valves (PRV) to Baldwin and McCauley to take load off B Zone.

Move Treosti and Usher PRV to Usher Drive and McCauley to take load off B Zone.

CalTrans is reviewing for permit.  Approximately 3-week review.

Don’t need County encroachment permit.  We are sending them a copy of the plans for review.

Bid documents being prepared.  Waiting for CalTrans approval before finalizing.

Bid Date:  February 1, 2007

Award Date:  March 1, 2007

Construction should be completed by summer 2007.

 

602 Tank

 

· 602 Tank foundation constructed

· Site prep completed and tank fabricated

· Construction of new control building starting

· Mobilization/Tank delivery date is 2/5/07

· Approximately 1-month construction.

· Project completion date is scheduled for 6/11/07.

· Working with OES 90-day on time extension in respect to project closeout and

   reimbursement.

 

Completed  hydraulic model for Jenny Lind

 

· Adjusted 8 PRV’s

 

· Performed Preventative Maintenance (PM) on PRV’s

 

· Flushing Honda/Myrtle Street area on monthly basis

 

· Begin flushing entire Jenny Lind system in February, 2007

 

Dennis Court Pump Station

 

· Completion date scheduled for 2/28/07
