3/28/07: CCWD Board compromise; new Proposed Water and Wastewater Rate Increases (revised) and Public Hearing:
CCWD Board of Directors, staff, and members of the public discussed proposed rate hikes at the Board meeting on 3/28/07. After much discussion, Directors reached a compromise on rate increases, cutting back on the number of tiers and amounts charged for usage. Directors also voted to increase the amount of water supplied to a customer under the base rate from 75 gallons a day to 125 gallons a day. Final Public Hearing will be on May 23rd. Below are the new proposed rates:
PROPOSED MONTHLY BASE WATER RATE (5/8” meter only)
Current $22.00
July 1, 2007 $25.50
July 1, 2008 $29.00
July 1, 2009 $32.50
July 1, 2010 $36.00
July 1, 2011 $39.50
Note: Current monthly base water rate includes 300 cf/month (75 gallons a day); new rate proposal will INCREASE the amount of water supplied to 500 cf/month (125 gallons a day)
PROPOSED TIERED RATES for Average Monthly Water Consumption (5/8” meter only)
0 - 500 cf (125 gpd) Included in Base Rate
501-3000 cf (126-750 gpd) $1.00 per 100 cf
3001-6000 cf (751-1500 gpd) $1.25 per 100 cf
Over 6000 cf (Over 1500 gpd) $1.60 per 100 cf

Water: $25.50/mo. base rate (increase to $39.50 after 5 yrs.)
Sewer: $49.50/mo. (increase to $67.50 after 5 yrs.)
(note: these are monthly rates, not bi-monthly; water base rates include 300 cf/month)

300-2000 cf/mo.: $1.00 per 100 cf
2000-4000 cf/mo.: $1.25 per 100 cf
4000-6000 cf/mo.: $1.50 per 100 cf
