**July 7th, 2008: Valley Springs Community Planning Baseline Report released to the public!!** This new Report documents the call to action by MyValleySprings.com in February 2008 to begin work on a community plan update, documents the formation of the new Greater Valley Springs Advisory Group, and describes current progress of community planning and visioning in Valley Springs. **New Website for GVSAG!!** The Greater Valley Springs Advisory Group now has a website, www.GVSAG.org. Click on Brand New!! to visit the website, read draft Valley Springs Topic Visions, Preliminary Draft Community Vision, give your opinion on proposed planning maps and boundaries, and participate in community planning!!

**MyValleySprings.com turned leadership of Valley Springs Community Plan visioning over to the GVSAG Coordinating Committee in April** The CC is working on creating Community Visions according to County guidelines. Draft updated visions and new alternative community boundaries are posted for public input at www.gvsag.org.

**VALLEY SPRINGS DESIGN WORKSHOP SUMMARY REPORT NOW AVAILABLE!** 12/17/07: The LGC completes 'Summary of Results' for October Design Workshops; click lightning bolt or Community Plan tab to view report and maps, photos and meeting presentations.

**GENERAL PLAN** 11/27/07: New Board Policy Resolution replaces Urgency Ordinance for duration of General Plan Update; click lightning bolt or General Plan tab to read new Board policy on development applications.

**THE FUTURE OF THE VALLEY SPRINGS AREA EXPLORED!** Professionals from the Local Government Commission presented Community Design Workshops 10/24 and 10/27/07: Area residents & stakeholders took the future in their hands, described their Visions for Valley Springs, and listed Community Priorities and Values. Third Town Meeting in Valley Springs on 5/23/07 explained connections between water resources and land use planning! To learn more about the meeting, watersheds, floodplains, water quality, runoff, and more, click the photo (caution, 26 photos--slow download with dial-up).

Second Town Meeting in Valley Springs informed county residents about Transportation Planning! To learn about the 4/12/07 meeting, how the Council of Governments plans and funds road projects, and to find ANSWERS to traffic questions, click the picture.

LEGAL NOTICES & MEETINGS:

The Ridge at Trinitas" The Board of Supervisors decided on Nov. 6th that "baseline" conditions for the EIR will include environmental review of the existing golf course. The DEIR will be revised. For a project summary, go to our Trinitas development page: Click here


"Wallace Lake Estates Unit 2" (124 homes) hearing before the Board of Supervisors has been PULLED from September 25th, to be rescheduled.

"NORTH VISTA PLAZA"--12/6/07: proposed new subdivision moves forward on a 3-2 Planning Commission vote after a 3-hour public hearing. 1/22/08: North Vista Plaza approved by the Board of Supervisors after another 3-hour public hearing with concerns raised about downzoning, affordable housing and law enforcement impacts. Crestview Estates", Zoning Amendment & 33-home subdivision proposal in Wallace was heard by the Planning Commission on 5/17/07, continued, and was being considered for an EIR; no hearing has been scheduled.
